Simple drag & drop commands in conjunction with the graphical user interface enable intuitive operation. FL3X Config supports all common bus systems and networks such as CAN-FD/-HS, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet (100BASE-T1, 1000BASE-T1), LIN and SENT and brings all bus data clearly to the PC or mobile device via WiFi or Ethernet.
The new release offers a variety of new functions and improvements compared to its predecessor, for example, received and transmitted bus data can now be visualized in a special trace window. This enables better monitoring and analysis of the data in real time. In addition, FL3X Config offers specific views and filters for various bus systems such as Automotive Ethernet (SOME/IP), CAN-FD/-HS, FlexRay, Ethernet and LIN in order to display the bus data in the best possible way.
Another important new feature is support for MACsec encryption. It is now possible to configure projects that also work perfectly in environments with MACsec encryption. In addition, Release 1.1 enables the integration of 10BASE-T1S bus systems and support for CAN-FD SIC.
FL3X Config offers full compatibility with the new FL3X System-M hardware, the new high-end platform for multi-gig applications, as well as the cost-effective FL3X System-XS platform. In addition, the FL3X interface hardware is supported in the mobile version of FL3X Config, allowing users to perform bus analysis on an Android tablet or phone.
Other improvements include the ability to assign individual OEMs to projects containing multiple bus connectors, making multi-OEM projects easy to implement. Signals can now be easily reset to their default value in the UserFunction Editor. It is also possible to play back trace data in an endless loop (replay loop).
As of this version, FL3X Config supports automatic bus-to-bus routing for Ethernet/SOME/IP channels, similar to what was already possible for CAN and FlexRay. Furthermore, global variables of type float and double can be created and read or written. In the UserFunction Editor, signals up to a length of 64 bits are supported, compared to the previous version with a limit of 32 bits. Another function of Release 1.1 is the ability to send SOME/IP data without dynamic subscription negotiation (service discovery) having taken place beforehand.
With Release 1.1, STAR® offers improved, more powerful software that makes working with bus systems more efficient and precise. The release is available immediately.
